Thanking Valued Customers
This is the time of year when you want to pull out the stops and thank those customers that are extra special. Those customers, who place their trust in your business, should not be taken for granted.
Showing that you appreciate and want to thank a valued customer makes them feel they are special. You certainly don’t want to ignore a customer after you just made a big deal.
A heartfelt verbal thank you is first and foremost; however, there are more formal ways to specifically thank a valued customer:
Sending a hand-written thank you note is extremely valuable. Customers love to receive personalized, handwritten letters. Knowing that a business took the time to carefully and specifically thank them makes them feel appreciated.
Let your customers know that their opinions matter. You could ask them to fill out a survey for ways you could improve your business. Keeping your customers informed is also a terrific way to keep them in the loop of what is new with your business. This could be in the form of a newsletter or an email.
Sending gifts to very important clientele is always appreciated. Find out their interests and have fun. You could send a bottle of wine from their favorite vineyard. If they enjoy the game of golf, a personalized golf gift such as a golf watch would make an amazing thank you. Or you could send them a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.
Be creative. Crafting the image of a trustworthy, caring organization is part of any marketing strategy. Thanking those customers who make your business what it is, should never be far from your efforts in maintaining a positive corporate image. Be honest and genuine in your thank you and your sincerity will pay itself forward.
